The AIM for PG option pictorially shows lock washers but doesn't call them out as I assume they're part of the Engine Assy as delivered from Flint. Nothing shown for standard trans assy bell housing to block.
For the 56-57 Powerglide Transmission, 2 different bolt sizes are listed as being used for Flywheel Housing to Engine Block both used a plain 5/16 regular spring lock washer. The part number is 103320 it should be between .0080 & .0040 thick. The 2 bolts listed as being used are part #s 100125 & 100124. They are both listed as having a plain finish. #100124 is 5/16-18- 1 1/2" and #100125 is 5/16-18- 1 3/4" long. You should be able to determine what bolts go where.
