Is there anyone who could or knows who could repair GM part 14004971 key and seatbelt warning buzzer? It was used on 1978 through 1980 models. I cannot find one anywhere. All the components are clearly marked with numbers for identification.
Thank you, Gary
Oh please, post some photos. I truly believe the '78-82 cars are among the most beautiful, popular (based on production volume), yet under appreciated (based on market value) Corvettes made.

This is a VERY hard-to-find part. You can also use a GM #12510117 but that's also a very tough find.

The 1978 buzzer assembly carried part number GM# 377595. As I travel to swap meets, I have collected a handful of these, most of which do not work. As the assembly numbers changed, the buzzer carried different tones. GM part 14004971 is service replacement for 1978-79 and the tone of your 1980 differs from that buzzer used in 1978. I doubt interior judges would know the difference or operation judges.
I have corresponded with a vendor (Ernie at Wilcox Corvette) who makes the tach board and the delay light timer board for late-model C3s and have asked about making the boards for the buzzer assembly but the problem is the buzzer. My suggestion is to contact Ernie, he may have replacement parts and could rebuild your board. Keep us posted on your progress...this is what one of the nagging service replacement part issues that I have tracked over the years...as you have learned due to limited availability.

I can't find that GM #377595 was ever available in SERVICE.
Thanks Tom and Joe for the replies. I still can't locate any of the suggested part numbers. I will try Wilcox to see if they can rebuild the board. If that is a dead end, I think I could use the 1976 buzzer for the key warning portion after checking the wiring diagram. It is discouraging, I was thinking about trying PV at the Regional.
