Which way should the port on this fitting be pointed and its vacuum hose be routed?
The only reference I found in AIM was J50-A1 (the power brake section), but my car doesn't have PB.
Currently, the port is at 4 o'clock (looking from above with the front at 12 o'clock) with its hose going between the two ignition cable brackets, then bending to the right to go along the center plenum panel ("firewall"), then to the reserve tank. The vacuum filter is over the rear of the right valve cover. See photo below. And yes, I know the fitting is incorrect and should have only one port.
I saw a restored '70 LS5 top flight car at Frisco with its port at about 9 o'clock and the hose routed between the coil and left valve cover. Its vacuum filter was near the manifold fitting, under the air cleaner. I first saw this with the air cleaner removed but it was installed when I later took the photo below. Note that unlike my car, this one has PB. (Side bar: I just noticed that this car doesn't have an ignition cable bracket spot welded to the left valve cover. Interesting.)

The hose routing on the top flight car is more direct and looks cleaner. But the longer hoses on my car look original and would be too long if rerouted like the top flight car. When I asked a couple judges at Frisco about this, they weren't sure.
Anyone know what's TFP?![Confused](https://www.forums.ncrs.org/core/images/smilies/confused.png)
Thanks folks!
