Carbs on 54 Corvette

I was sniffing around for information about carbs for my 54 Corvette and I ran across a company that sells modified Mikuni HSR carbs for use on autos. Has anybody ever heard of anyone mounting these on a Chevy or Corvette inline six? Just curious so don't go all ballistic on me about it.

I have not - but it would look rather neat and different

They're pumper carbs so I cant see why they wouldnt work.
