I bought new seals and successfully rebuilt the caliper. I used a very small amount of synthetic grease to get the seals in the bore being careful with a small straight blade screwdriver.

I hope you used a "silicone grease" and not a petroleum-based "synthetic" grease. If not, the lip seal will swell and could be an issue for you down the road. However, if you only used a light film and then immediately flushed the caliper and brake system thoroughly with DOT 3/4 fluid , you should improve your odds.

I've done this job many times, it's not that difficult but as mentioned use only BF to lube any internal brake system parts. With the seal lubed with clean BF a very thin screwdriver will easily roll the seal into the bore without damage and then the piston will slide in no problem. The RTV I recommended is only for the exterior boot to casting seam.

I used silicon lubricating grease..non-petroleum, and just a very small amount. The tube said it is a dielectric and used for lubricating plastic threads, o rings, and rubber components. It will be fine if not I will just rebuild it again. Went a lot quicker the second time :-)
