    Mike,
Yes, Daytona Blue has metallic particles and if you need a sample of acrylic lacquer I will send it to you. Small amount from painting my 64 FI Roadster back in the mid 70's.

Joe: He said interior. I don't recall any metallic component. What does the mixing formula say?

My info shows DL12740 for Ditzler, 63V26 RM & 96315 Dupont, with the advisory that RM & Dupont are full gloss #s and will have to be flattened; Dupont is acrylic lacquer and RM/Ditzler codes are standard lacquer

OK, maybe he was refering to the interior. Doctors have a strange handwriting when they write a script. Dont recall any metallic in interior paint either but there was so little on a roadster painted.???????? Lots more on a coupe.

Very Funny. Doc Mike, I have a piece of trim around here from the Grady Davis/Dr. Blatchley car. Had blue interior. No sparkle in the paint. John

the atlanta midget and the chairman of MAC both feel there was no pigment mixed with interior 63-4 dark blue paint. i'm going with no metallic pigment on the 63 fi roadster that i'm currently restoring. mike

That should be a good bet. My Daytona Blue has no metallic on any of the painted trim, I.e. Speaker grill, steering column, kick panels and panels enclosing the convertible top fame hardware, as well as the hardtop window frames.

Believe it or don't, these are from a dark blue interior. The model year was 1966, but delivered in Oct. 1965. Sorry about the photo quality.
