Hard start 93 after running for any length of time

Car starts quickly when cold ,cranks slow after warm but does start. No codes Runs like a bear even when warm. When letting off the gas always back fires even when new, City driving mpg has decreased to 15 mpg, Run only Mobile high test Some times on roll in closed loop hesitates. Only related work completed was coil by me. Car is a LT1 always garaged but has been driven all over east coast for shows.

Frank, sounds like one of two things, a weak battery and high current draw from the starter motor. have you tested either?

Will check specific gravity 12.25-12.50 after running for a length of time This is a Delco battery on a Battery pal after I shut vehicle down I always hook up. I have noticed my self even the interstate batteries with charging back up are failing early . So the prorating of these do not meet any credits towards a new one. Will check starter connections and meg cables later today and let you know results. Thanks
