- I am doing a frame off on a 1969 convertible. The original color was Riverside Gold. The car will be painted with PPG lacquer. I have stripped the car down to red primer with Kleen Strip for Fiberglass. Red primer has been removed on the rest of the car with 3M Green pads and water. The right front fender was replaced in the past. I have sanded the 'filler' with 220 grit sandpaper and removed most of the filler. It appears that the filler was applied to cover the fibers in the fiberglass. Some of the fibers can be felt and appear to be rough while others are covered by resin and can still be felt. My questions are how to fix this issue after I remove the remainder of the filler? Should I apply PPG 2 Stage Epoxy? or Use Feather Fill or Slick Sand? Or follow some other course to prepare the body for paint. Any and all comments or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks Steve
