Wayne my orig 396 bell housing (17346) had almost no paint and no overspray on the clutch fork . (It had been out a time or two before me )

Bill -- speaking of overspray, here's the clutch fork boot, (or what was left of it in the '90s) It was crumbling, so replaced. You can see remains of orange spray on it. The fork was probably replaced sometime before I got the car (1988).
