Dealership docs on Ebay - 1961 thru 1969

Not sure if anyone has shared this info yet, but I couldn't find any reference to it by doing any forum searches. Tried looking for some specific VIN's in the orphan section, but to no avail. If this has already been discussed, then nevermind....

There is a seller on Ebay who has been and is still selling some awesome original dealership document packages for many 1961 through 1969 Corvettes, mostly from George Olsen Chevrolet in SF, along with a few other dealerships.

My '67 has a George Olsen sticker in the glovebox (which is how I ran across these listings), but unfortunately I didn't see my VIN listed in his offerings.

Some paperwork packages have the car shippers, order forms, build sheets, and lots of other cool docs - especially if you happen to own the matching number car!

I saw one set of docs for a '66 tanker, another set for a '68 aluminum head, a '62 fuelie, lots of loaded option midyears, etc.

Maybe one of you guys has been or can gather all the VIN's for the orphan section? Regardless of where these docs end up, it sure would be helpful for future searches....

Not sure how to post links. See if this works for his current auctions:

The sellers Ebay name is "deeplit" out of Longview, Washington.

I wonder how the seller found these papers. You'd think that most dealerships would toss all that stuff in the trash after a short period of time.
I grew up in San Francisco and remember George Olsen dealerships but by the time I was 'driving' I think they had combined with another dealer and called it Ingold-Olsen by then.

Robert: You beat me to it! Odd..the C2 registry says it was Smith body too.

Meh....It's just a couple extra carburetors...What's the big deal? Might be worth a C-note for the owner to have a bond fire.

              Mike,
You're good! Inspector Columbo couldn't have discovered that discrepancy nearly as fast as you did. Can you tell us what the height and weight of the original owner was?

                Interesting bidders list observation...

Most of the completed auctions typically sold to the same couple of bidders (up to $2600 +/-). Many of the current auctions are also being bid on by a small group of parties as well.

I wouldn't expect a small group of bidders to buy so many of these docs. Maybe they are good Samaritans and plan on tracking down the cars and giving the current owners the docs for free??? Wouldn't that be lovely!

Or perhaps they just really like to collect old documents and have plenty of money to spend doing so... Being the eternal optimist, I only hope they have good intentions.
