1959 Turquoise interior paint code

Hello Vette enthusiast. I am struggling in my quest to find the correct interior paint code for turquoise on a 1959 restoration under way. I have searched many other threads on this forum with little success. I have researched corvettepaintcodes.com as mentioned in other threads as well but am still quite hesitant. I know the exterior color code (crown sapphire) and that was easy to define. Since our family has an old Chevrolet dealership we have checked every parts book for 58 thru 60 with no such luck. Any help would be appreciated. Since this is my first post I hope I have submitted correctly. Thanks for all you good folks help. It sure makes this hobby fun and interesting. Toby Hight (60237)

Hi Toby, Welcome to the TDB.

Some time ago I painted the interior Turquoise of a '59. I got my lacquer from TCP Global in California. You can do a search here for the info.

Enter the year and make, then go to Page 2 for the Interior colors and you'll see code 12067 for the Medium Turquoise Poly. I used the Acrylic Lacquer and it was a perfect match to original interior panels from the car. Note it is metallic like the original paint used.

Here is a test panel on original heater cover which hardly sees the sun. The small area left of the tape is the new paint, right side original. It was a perfect match. Cluster was original paint for comparison also. Bezels and speaker screen are new paint.

If you're going to replace interior soft goods(dash pad, door panels, seats), Al Knoch now had the exact colors. It took a 5 month wait to get the correct goods but AK did a great job working with us.

Here's the completed Turquoise interior (minus seats which are being recovered at this time with the new color)

Rich,

Thank you very much for all the helpful information regarding my paint issue. And by the way, that interior of your car looks great. Now I have the information needed, I can start preparing for paint this winter. Hopefully Al Knoch will be at the Hershey AACA Fall Meet so I can get my interior ordered in the necessary time frame. I am quite sure as this project goes on I will need to be rescued by all the good people like you on this forum. Thanks Again...

Your interior looks great. It brings back great memories of my white '59 with turquoise interior. That is great info for Toby.
Does your car have turquoise soft top.

Hi Wayne,

Yes I've fallen in love with this color. It's so different. Yes, this one has a hardtop but it will also have a Turquoise Soft Top.
