70 Front Guard Assembly 6256884 Spl Washer

UPC 13 Sheet A3 shows 6256884 SPL washer between the guard assembly and lower spoiler.

What does this washer look like? I am thinking it was to protect the paint?

I just removed mine and did not see washers.

Hi Bill,
Those 2 sp.washers/spacers were in place on my 71.
They're 3/4" o.d., 7/16" i.d., and 1/8" thick.
They're not completely flat, the upper surface in the pic has a little crown to it. Maybe formed during the manufacturing process?
They have a dark grey finish,…. maybe phosphate?

The GM #3834560 washer is still available from GM for about $0.90 each GM list. This washer is 11/32" ID, 11/16" OD, and 3/16" thick.

Received the care package today. Spacers look a lot like what Alan posted other than the finish which can be fixed.
