    71 Fan Shroud Repair

My SB 71 has an original fiberglass reinforced plastic fan shroud (#...6109) with a cracked lower mounting tab. The car is a survivor type car and I want to preserve the shroud if possible. Can anyone tell me if plastic fan shrouds can be properly repaired while, to the extent possible, retaining the original appearance of the shroud? If so, what technique and/or product is recommended for the job? Thanks

Depending on the extent of the crack, my money is on JB weld.

      Seth,

How visible is the broken tab? If one side is obscured, maybe build up that side with fiberglass mat and resin. Or even recreate the tab completely with matting. That stuff is strong.

I would like to know if the 6109 is in raised numbers on the left side as I need one? Is yours an LT-1? The TI&JM does not have the part number.
