91 C4 Hood swap
Need some help guys, Picked up a 1991 C4 coupe that was sideswiped on left front with only damage to the arch over the left wheel. The car came with a replacement (used) hood from year unknown. everything about the replacement looks like the 91 hood but when I removed the headlight unit on the replacement hood their was no attachment bar for the two screws that hold the unit in place. Looks like their was never one there. The one on the 91 is riveted on a plate and to the hood in five places and runs from below the headlight on the left to the right, the replacement hood has the rivets but no plate or attachment bar. The only other difference in the two is that the wheel well on the 91 is screwed in but the replacement hood they are riveted in. my question is should I removed the rivets on the 91 damaged hood and rivet it onto the replacement or find another hood. Would really appreciate any suggestions. Mahalo
