Re: Master Cylinder Cover
Greg------
Any job shop plater with zinc and dichromate capabilities can do it.
However, most job shop platers have minimum charges. This means that you pay the minimum whether you have 1 piece or a bucketful. By now, the minimum charge is probably $200 or more. So, in that case, if you have just the cover plated it will cost you $200.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Master Cylinder Cover
Greg...........Steve Gregori at Brakeboosters.com will do a nice job. I just had mine done for $40. The environmental requirements are very strict for plating so not that many do it. You can reach Steve at 559-875-0290.- Top

Re: Master Cylinder Cover
I bought a gm repo master from.cssb.the cap is vented The gasket between the cap and housing is not however..part of the bleeding process says to get all the air out of master to take off cap and pump brakes slowly and you will see bubbles from compensation port .pump untill there are no bubbles.Slowly though or you will make a big mess. You would think the gasket would be vented also to let the air out.I have checked at least 10 gaskets none are vented.- Top
