I have these holes (two per side) in the frame adjacent to the rear most body mount. They appear to be threaded. What is supposed to be attached at these locations? I reviewed the TIM&JG, as well as, the AIM...if the answer is there, I missed it.
Thanks, Don. That was my first thought, but when looking at the spare tire carrier, I couldn't quite see how the sway bar could go from one side to the other without passing directly through the tub.

The sway bar passes above the front end of the tub.
That's it, Michael. Thanks for the response and self explanatory picture. Would it make any sense to fill the four holes with the bolts from the sway bar clamp to keep moisture out??

Its the antenna ground strap hole on the left . I just don't know why there is another one the Passenger side .?
Jim,
Different hole...on the left side frame rail I have the antenna ground strap installed correctly. These four holes I have pictured are for a sway bar installation, if this would have been a big block car (see Michael's picture in post #6). Thanks for your input.

You're welcome. Yes, mechanically it would make sense to put bolts in, but I am not sure about what the flight judges would say about that. Did they take any deducts for them empty at the Lone Star Regional? As cheap as GM was in those days, I doubt they put anything in those holes, so they probably came from the factory like your car has it. Maybe some '67 experts can chime in about that?
There was no mention or deduct at the Regional. I'm sure you're correct in stating that GM probably didn't put anything in those holes back in the day.

All Corvette frames from mid-'65 up had the holes and weld nuts for the rear stabilizer bar bracket bolts; there was only one frame part number in '65, one in '66, and one in '67, and all had those holes and nuts.
