67' Gray to grayish blue shock color

Looking to change my black shocks to the original gray to grayish blue color. What kind of paint is used to create this look?

    Dave,

Call L.I.C. or any other Corvette parts vendor. They will have the paint.

For comparison, here's two original dated shocks from '65 VIN 014xx, compared with the original gray coating on the rear springs of same car.

I used Duplicolor DE1611 New Ford Grey. Looks about right albeit a bit glossy. Can use a little matte clear to knock the gloss down. Nice thing is it is cheap and readily available. After 40-50 years I am not sure what exactly the gloss level should be.

Petty sure another NCRS member pointed me in this direction.

              Hi,
              Here's a right-rear shock from my 71.
Maybe enough paint is left to give a hint of the color?
              Regards,
              Alan

I have a dead nuts right on formula for the grayish - blue paint that was used for the shocks. If I can dig it up, I would be happy to share it with you. - Ron
