    As I remember the only staggered valve cover bolts were 1955 to 1957. 1958 on used the bolts directly across from each other.

      staggered were also used in 58 and early 59 before the switch over to the different head casting.
      1958, 283/245, White/red - Top Flight, October 2016

        In this case, I cannot understand why the heads received such a deduction as you described.

            Naturally they went by the book without really knowing. They saw the mountain looking end symbol as for the 58 and the triangle for the later year's, not asking about the nos. They said head's were probably Pass. car. 7/10 of point could throw a guy into second flight pretty easy if score were close. Did not happen here though. Looking for an original pan (58) or one that will pass judging also. Thank you. Brad.
