Will be starting a resto on my 60 vette and was wondering what paint I should use to be correct
and also should I fill all pits?if so what is a recommended product for the pits?
dave
. we always fill pits, just makes a nicer looking finished job. any high build 2k primer, along with spot putty will work . we sand blast our frames . .
David,
Many get the fr ame powder coated and are happy. It is better protection, BUT powder coating can be used as a primer and painted over which many are not aware of.
I found that to be less expensive and WAY less work with great results. I did leave my frame powder coated but did sand the powder coating and paint it on some non vette items.
Had to do a minor repair on my powde coated frame and the paint blended in great. Just something to consider.
