My hats off to Vinnie Peters and Eric Mortimer for the excellent publications and dedication they have to the NCRS.
As a long time member all the faces, meets and places have a special place in my mind and heart!
It's been great the last 40 years and I look forward to many more times seeing those faces and attending the meets!
A very special thanks to all that have carried the torch these years and have sacrificed for the enjoyment of the Corvette hobby!

Just received the latest edition of the Restorer and spent 30 minutes skimming. Awesome edition! Great job to all involved. I can't wait to find the time to read it cover to cover.

I have been a member of the NCRS since the beginning of 2009 shortly after buying my '65 convertible. A friend recommended that I become a member in order to learn everything I would ever need to know about my car. He was right on the money with his suggestion and I appreciate all the help that I have received from so many friendly, helpful, and knowledgable members over the years. I look forward to receiving The Corvette Restorer and The Driveline, but it takes me a couple weeks to go through both publications due to my work and family commitments. I was away on vacation and decided to take The Corvette Restorer with me since I would have some free time to read it. Well, I had no idea just how interesting this special 40th Anniversary edition would be! I read it cover-to-cover and really enjoyed learning about all the hard work and dedication by so many people that went into making this organization what it is today. As a member who was born only two months after my car was assembled (we both celebrate the Big 5-0 next year), I really appreciate learning the history of how the NCRS evolved. Congratulations to every person mentioned in The Corvette Restorer from Day 1 to present, and more importantly... THANK YOU!! You all deserve a Top Flight and Duntov Award according to my judging score card!!

Many of the NCCC (National Council of Corvette Clubs) individual local clubs (A movement promoted by Joe Pike) pre-date NCRS. I am not sure when the NCCC itself was formed, however. Of course then there was a VCCoA which was the national club from which NCRS began as pointed out in the story beginning on page 3 of the most recent (Vol 41 #1) issue of The Corvette Restorer.
