1955 corvette engine color

Color orange paint for 1955 engine block and where it can be purchased ? Also shade of black paint for back of road wheel ?

Don, if it's the 265 V8, I believe it was more of a red color, not the typical later "Chevrolet Orange".

I think back of wheels were semi-gloss black in '55, but not positive.

The wheels were black to start with then just the fronts were painted the red or the color desired. Its acceptable for the outer color over spray to oooze through a little onto the black. They weren't masked off. Don't paint the rubber filler strips. bob
